Anonymous STD Testing in Atlanta
Trusted Medical Privacy
Safe sex is crucial to staying healthy in the modern world. However, condoms
do not completely eliminate one's chance of contracting a sexually
transmitted disease (STD). If you suspect that you have an STD, come to
Perimeter Clinic of Atlanta and find out for sure. Our STD testing clinic
provides discreet, anonymous, same-day STD testing for curious and responsible
individuals. Your insurance provider will likely cover your testing, so
there is no excuse not to get tested.
Common STD Symptoms
If you notice anything unusual about the skin around your genitals, you
should visit an STD testing center. Rashes, bumps, sores, and yellowing
of the skin are all common STD symptoms. STDs such as gonorrhea and chlamydia
may also cause painful urination, penile or vaginal discharge or bleeding,
itching, and odor. Some people with STDs experience loose stools, pain
during or after sex, or a fever.
STD Testing Process
Don't let embarrassment prevent you from getting tested for an STD.
When you come to Perimeter Clinic to get tested, you can choose to remain
completely anonymous. One of our physicians should see you within 20 minutes
of your arrival, and the whole testing process will only take about 15
to 20 minutes. You don't just owe it to yourself to get tested; you
owe it to your past and future sexual partners as well.
STD Testing Options
You and your physician can choose one or more of the following STD tests
based on the symptoms you're experiencing.
Hepatitis B Testing: Hepatitis B is a liver disease that can be either acute or chronic. If
your doctor suspects that you have hepatitis B, he might recommend the
hepatitis B surface antigen or a surface antibody test.
HIV Testing: HIV is a particularly frightening disease because it attacks the immune
system itself. A doctor can test for HIV by looking for antibodies that
your immune system produces to combat the disease.
Urinalysis: Several different STDs can be identified through urine, including gonorrhea
and chlamydia. After taking a urine sample, the doctor uses nucleic acid
amplification to detect STDs and other bacterial infections.
Herpes: A simple blood test can let your physician know if you carry the herpes
simplex virus. If you are diagnosed, the physicians at Perimeter Clinic
can prescribe medications that can help fight your symptoms.
These are just a few to mention. If you have any concerns and want more
information, please contact our professional staff or just walk-in. STD
testing is a lot easier than you think. Either you don't have an STD,
in which case you walk away from our clinic with a load off your shoulders;
or you do have an STD, in which case you can begin treatment as soon as
possible. Unlike testing centers, Perimeter Clinic can test you and put
together a treatment plan for you. We are primary care physicians with
urgent care hours so our co-pay is lower than retail urgent care centers,
and we're a preferred provider for most insurance plans. If you live
in the Atlanta area, rely on us for your primary and urgent care needs.
